Wouldn’t it be hilarious if the baby website that emails baby growth updates every month actually sent this: Week 32 “You’re baby is now averaging 6 pounds and 18 inches in length, roughly the size of the Fifth Third Burger ,” instead of fresh produce? mom sense of humor, check.

I Passed!!!
I do not have gestational diabetes. First test- fluke. Thank goodness. I wouldn’t have made it through the thick of summer without sweet tea and DQ blizzards.

Anxiety sleeps in.
My nesting issues are surfacing in my dreams. Brett was out-of-town this past weekend, and I hate staying in the house alone. HATE. I sleep like I will sleep when the baby comes in a few months. Not too well. The first night he was gone I had the most anxiety-ridden dream: I delivered the baby early. She was a he. (And I only had this adorable cap with flower sewn on it. In real life this is...

love note turned audio: about yesterdays audio...
The audio file was NOT posted by me yesterday. I got on my blog, and saw this audio file. I could not figure out what it was because I haven’t posted any audio blogs. I was kind of afraid that I had a virus…until I listened to it. This is too funny. And great way to break up the work day. It’s like getting a little post-it on your bathroom mirror from a lover, reminding you of...

What Paid Time Off shouldn't be used for:
Glucose tests. Just got a call from my Doctor’s office. My glucose screening came back with high numbers. Now I must do the follow-up test for failures, or those that test with higher levels of glucose than what is considered “normal.” I will use 4 hours of vacation time to sit in a doctor’s office. I have not had an “off” day in several months, so I’m...

It finally happened.
I knew it would. I’m type A. So I assumed (like last time), it would be monumental. I’ve began nesting. My nesting mode is more like this. When I would love for it to be more like this. I don’t think it’s me as much as the whole time component that makes me squeamishly-impatient. I have three months. Yeah, it’s definitely that thought. 3 teeny, tiny months....

You know what's really difficult...
Giving a human being a name. It’s not an easy task. I usually am so organized and plan for everything ahead of time, but I’m not so sure we’ll have a name anytime soon. And I don’t want help on the matter. I don’t plan on telling anyone our decision until it’s final because I don’t give a shit if the informed person likes it or not. They can make their own...

Today
There is a thunderstorm happening outside my office window, and I have to go present teen dating violence prevention 6 times in a row, day 2 of 5. Today, I should be in bed. Watching mindless TV and reading.

Talk between sisters
At night before bedtime Jolie puts her little face up to my stomach, her hazel eyes light up and her full lips curl with mischief as she says, “Good morning, baby.” And evey morning when I kiss her goodbye as I leave for work she gets the same expression on her face, presses her mouth and chin to my stomach and says, “Goodnight, baby.” This doesn’t cease to...

Bathroom remodeling update (going on 6 weeks)
So it’s been a slow go, but I believe that is to be expected when family is the “hired help,” minus the hired/paid part. As of now plumbing, electric and dry wall is complete. Next we will prime and paint, tile, and secure plumbing. Then we will remove the toilet from our dining room and place it in the bathroom. Followed by a lot of singing and clapping.

There is something so bittersweet about the thought that there was a time when everyone of us was born into this world. Even more so, the fact that everyone of us is reborn again and again.
